Solution Implemented:

Replaced the existing 400w Metal Halides with 300w (36,000 Lumens) Barron LED Highbays, with motion, 5k color, 120-degree beam angle, and a 5-year warranty.

Wattstopper HPB-111 Motion Detectors were installed, including Passive Infrared (PIR) sensors with sensitivity and time delay adjustments. The units were programmed remotely using a handheld configuration tool (FSIR-100). A (hold-off) daylighting light level feature is available to prevent lighting from turning on when occupancy is detected when there is sufficient ambient light available.

Lutron Maestro wall switches with occupancy sensors were also used in the cafeteria.

Moburn LED 2x4 troffers were installed in the offices (5k-6000 Lumen).

Barron TLed NFL Commercial wallpacks (79w) replaced 400w wallpacks on the exterior walls.

Cree OSQ HO Area/Flood Luminares were used to light the dock and parking lots (33,902 Lumens – 5k Color)

Results:

Energy Savings Dollars: The original Highbays used approximately 203,000 KWH per month with a demand charge based upon 282.58 KW ($17,529.37 per month). The new install of 131,939 KWH per month with a demand charge based upon 183.25 KW (-11,367.30 per month) equal a monthy savings of over $6,161.07 and ($898,568.20 over 10 years).

Tax Benefits: An EPACT Certification was generated than created a tax deduction worth $302,400.00 (504,000 square feet X .60 = $302,400.00)
